Room and Board for the Dasmani Children

We wish to categorically state that the HopE Ghana Room and Board Program is not about building houses.

Before the idea of forming an official organization in 2015 called Hope for Education Ghana, Fr. Dominic and the Evers in 2013 recognized that with the sudden death of Mr. Felix Dasmani, a dedicated and a selfless teacher at Notre Dame Girls High School in Fiapre-Sunyani, Ghana, they must sponsor the education of his five children and provide a home to them and their unemployed, uneducated mother. Without this support, they were destined to become homeless. This resulted in the construction of a three-bedroom house with a hall, a kitchen, toilet and bath and a freshwater well as shown in the pictures below.

With the official formation of Hope for Education Ghana in 2015, the HopE Ghana Room and Board Program is only about providing decent renting spaces for under privileged college students pursuing their education. The program is not about constructing houses.
